Mama P and I went to the international food market and she is teaching me to cook Thai. Grades are posted and I got the lost possible A's in both my classes but they are still A's!!!!

Also we made 6 lbs of fudge and after all the "work" I now realize that buying it is a HUGE rip off! FYI.

Peace.

Quick Updates [Dec. 15th, 2009|12:05 am]
[Current Location |floor waiting for the walls to explode]
[Current Mood | amused]
[Current Music |heater kicking on]

First, Happy Birthday to [info]the_lucky_nun as I write this it is still barely your birthday!

Second, I totally aced my Immunology Final! So I get an A in that class!!

Third, I have been reviewing for my virology final..... well heres hoping... NO I will get an A. I will just go to bed and all the answers will just be there in the right order.

Fourth, the apartment has a short somewhere the lights keep dimming and brightening. Also we blew a fuse tonight for no reason. I'm sure when I tell the maintenance department they will assume it is because we use the electricity that its fucking up and not there problem to fix. Truthfully I don't want to tell them but if this keeps up we are going to need an electrician and I'm not paying for it. Stupid incompetent maintenance department.

Fifth, Stitch's voice has appeared as the voice of Texas Ranger from Talladega Nights with such classic lines as "I'm all hyped up on string stick Chip!" to which I reply "I'm not Chip". Be warned when you come over he will scissor kick you in the back of the head while coming at you like a spider monkey. I also picture crazy time with him screaming "ANARCHY! I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS BUT I LOVE IT!"

Well I need to goto bed and to get some sleep.

This is Sean Brimer signing off... Good Fight, Good Night

Ahhh the pursuits of high education. [Nov. 1st, 2009|08:13 pm]

[Current Mood | bored]
[Current Music |freight trains passing in the night...]

spending the evening by myself with absolutely no desire to study for Tuesday's test is really reminding me of why I'm such a horrible student. Really it all boils down to me just being lazy, or having not matured enough to realize that studying (however painful) is needed. Also this is the reason why I'm over weight and living paycheck to paycheck. Maybe there is nothing wrong with a job that will go nowhere, a body that should get me to 50 and not thinking about tomorrow. All of these things make it so I can enjoy life now and it is a lot easier.

Damnit.

Back to studying.

I think I need to write a book on how to become rich. [Oct. 25th, 2009|08:30 pm]

For those of you who know me and know my financial position at the moment I bet you are thinking "Like hell! What qualifies you to write a book on becoming rich?!?"

So for all of you I say...

well...

umm...

poop.

Anyway I may not be qualified from the stand point that I myself am rich however I have read a lot of books about becoming rich and I believe that I could clone one out of various pop culture icons and blend there beliefs into a new book with my name on it and then sell it for $16 - $25 piece.

I think this could work.

For those of us that remember Robb(kindly or not) one of the things you should remember about him is that he hates the idea of getting older. If he had it his way I believe he would have stopped aging at 25 but life moves on. For the folks that do not have facebook as well, here is his latest status update.

Robb McKinney
"All you people clucking your tongues and thinking 30 isn't old: screw you. It is. I'VE BEEN ABLE TO RENT A CAR FOR FIVE YEARS!!! Do you know how huge that is???"

This makes me laugh, so here is my response.

"Well since I will probably forget tomorrow, HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Also if you want to make more of an argument with the people who say you are not old(I being one of them) you can look at the US Census statistical predictions on the average life span for people born in 1979 (70.7years) and if you do the math that puts you already 42% through your life. Also we can than use this same data to pinpoint where your midlife crisis should take place as well (btw June 1, 2014 you will be 35.35 years old).

OR you can go with the current end of the world prediction and in that case, we are roughly 94% done with our lives.... this one is fun cause it can be applied to who ever since the "end" date would be the same for everyone."

Well I thought it was funny.

Peoples! [Sep. 8th, 2009|10:31 pm]

[Current Music |night time noises from the outside]

We are back from Texas.

Yes once again I have managed to not say the wrong thing to the wrong person and end up in a hole in the ground on someone's back forty.

I really do not know what to say but I feel like I should say something since I went to all the trouble of clicking the post button. So hear is the very abridged version.

Texas was fun.  Chelsea's family is always very generous. The cats did not eat each other or piss everywhere.  I got a pretty fantastic shoulder sunburn. Chelsea, Ashley, and Patrice got to hang out for three days and not be too burdened with school work (we will fined out if this was a good thing)

Also I got an A on my first Virology quiz and a zero on my first blackboard assignment for Immunology(I forgot to post by the deadline, seriously I hate these kinds of assignments). So it was bittersweet.

Overall, great weekend. I'm off to study for next weeks test.

Peace.

If you wanted too... [Aug. 26th, 2009|12:58 pm]

[Current Music |Me, not wanting to be here this week]

I would never do this for myself but if you have $500 you would want to spend on me you could get me this. I don't know about the Kindles in general. I like the idea but I also like books. I would have to say I'm on the fence. I can see how they are awesome in portability but I'm still unsure never actually using one before. So because of that, If you would happen to looking on a way blow $500 bucks on me this is one. However if this is not the way you wish to spend $500 on my, contact me and I can tell you about all the other toys I would like to have in that price range.

Really, I'm flexible and very grateful.

So apparently if I didn't have enough books just laying around the Oxford University Press has created a series call "A Very Short Introduction" and it covers a plethora of topic. Its pretty cool if you are super nerdy like me.

http://ukcatalogue.oup.com/category/academic/series/general/vsi.do

You can get the books through amazon, its for things like this series where the prospect of a kindle are very nice.

In other news I have started school officially with tonight and last night being the first two nights. One day and I'm already behind.

here is the summary of the cool fighting movie Patrice found

"The autistic daughter of a Japanese Yakuza and a Thai mafia hit woman learns to fight from watching TV and the fighters from the boxing school next door. When she finds a list of debtors in her ailing mother's diary, she decides to go on a violent quest to collect payment for the medical expenses. Her quest is a dangerous one that ultimately leads her to her father. Little does she know she is taking on various mob gangs."

I'm so pumped.

Chelsea is ignoring my excitement.

Understanding why Atlas Shrugged... [Aug. 14th, 2009|12:21 pm]
[Current Location |work, I do live here]
[Current Mood | focused]
[Current Music |Reel Big Fish "Brand New Hero"]

Work just keeps getting piled on, but luckily I'm awesome and can cope with Reel Big Fish at 180 decibels, barely noticed the fire alarm test.

At first I thought about posting about how much work is getting piled on, but now I think why? I will get it done sooner or later. I did move an hour closer to work and still get home @ 6:30 every night. So for me really nothing has changed. Plus! I have a job. I mean its good to have work. It pays the bills and feeds me and my lovely wife. so what more do I need, I mean I would take more money who wouldn't, but I feel I'm doing pretty good.

I really like our shithole of an apartment. Its a step up from the mold encrusted shithole we had before and the landscaping is great. the complex is pretty and that is pretty much were it ends.

Well I need to get some lunch before my next test starts.

Help out me and my mom [Jul. 6th, 2009|01:06 pm]
[Current Location |work]
[Current Mood | amused]
[Current Music |beating my head against a desk]

My mom just asked if I would racer her in seeing how much weight she could lose. She said she needs to change something that she had control over and in looking at her life she said right now, this is it.

So I said sure. She is going to see if dad wants to play as well, but right now its just the two of us and we are putting up $25 a person to have a prize. We are going to start on Wednesday July 8th and end on August 28th. The only rule is you have to keep a food journal so if you are not getting to where you want to be you can see where you are slipping up.

I think this is the first contest I sincerely hope I lose.

Company Picnics [Jun. 26th, 2009|02:32 pm]
[Current Location |the air conditioning awesomeness that is my offices]
[Current Mood | chipper]
[Current Music |cover band and Micheal Jackson songs]

Today is the 4 year anniversary of the company becoming a part of the CEVA Group so its mandatory fun day. We have food, fun and games. All in all a pretty good day at work. I will have to stay after the picnic (noon till 5) so I can finish my work and maybe stop by after the golf tourny tomorrow but oh well.

Today is fun and I've been sweating like a mofo. I played volleyball, lost, and managed to scrape myself on the concert sidewalk way out of bounds while trying to save the ball. I failed. For those of you who never played any sort of sport. Scrapes suck only when you lose you never know if you win.

We have these giant baby bouncer thingies with bungee cords and look like a blast, but I'm too big, disappointing.

There is a raffle at the end of the day for prizes , so far the coolest prize I have seen is the Nintendo Wii system, that is baking in its box... in the sun. If I remember right most electronics like that do not care for temperatures above 120,and its currently 100 so whoever wins that will have a 50/50 shot of it working at all. God let it be me.

Well that is all the cool down/ updating times I have.

Later.

Edit: So its 4 now and the party is over. Back to work... well in about 40 minutes. Stupid tests.

I didn't win the Wii, or the ipod touch, or the 42" Plasma TV?!? Seriously!!! It was a prize. Joe in R&D won it.

Oh well.
